We love Essaouira Mogador and Essaouira Mogador loves us :)

.. so we decided to build a web site to promote this enchanting city and our Suiri friends wether they are born in Essaouira Mogador or have like, us fallen in love with the city, it's people and elected to live there.

First things first: This site is going to build up around people you can meet in Essaouira Mogador and things you can see and do in Essaouira Mogador.

Our very first gift to those who will come and visit Essaouira Mogador is a Acrobat / PDF format copyrighted map of the old Essaouira Mogador medina.

Most of all, Welcome to Essaouira Mogador :D

Very best regards,

Paul Robillard

Our favorite links:

The UNESCO decided in 1999 to protect the walls of the medina. A couple of documentary later, europeans started buying torn down riads and give them their past splendor. Prices rocketed so the second wave turned the riad into B&B's, guesthouses and hotels for the benefit of the visitors. Since then magnificiently restored riad l'heure bleu and luxury chain hotel mogador have also emerged from essaouira mogador soil.

A now deceased airline started with royal air maroc to service the Essaouira airport. You can now fly direct in and out from Paris to Essaouira Mogador on Thrusdays and Sundays. It would be great if business people could get together and "sponsor" a direct flight from London, Madrid, Rome, Amsterdam and other great european capitals. I am sure the destination would profit and so would the benefactors ;) Hey ! That's an idea ! Wanna help put it up together ?

As Argan oil becomes more and more popular, it's value sky rockets. One of the initial project around it was to get women out of poverty. Look at what this coop achieved in 10 years. This is really great.

Everyone knows sex travels well. Women like men get to do noisy cultural exchange within the visited country. Weather a holiday passion or a coded relation just make sure you exchange only reciprocal pleasure. Morroco recently started an AIDS program, before that no or little data were available, let alone places where you could get help. Now there is a HIV Center in Essaouira. But tell me where is the anonymous in a 70k person city. All this to say, if you suspect something might happen while you are vacationning anywhere in the world where access to testing is not easely available, or in places where the populations are not aware of MTS why not bring a pair of portable tests with you and test your local partner in privacy. Maybe this investment will become the most important one in your life :)
